Somewhere in northern Canada, Dave, a northern version of the Dude, has spent decades guarding a giant rock inside a rusting school bus, convinced it is a priceless meteorite. When a documentary filmmaker arrives to investigate, he finds himself caught between skepticism and belief, science and faith, reality and the stories people choose to live by.
What begins as a search for a meteorite becomes a funny, moving, and unexpectedly personal journey through a world of dreamers, misfits, and true believers, where stubborn brothers, a candid 103-year-old mother, a perceptive daughter, and Dave's partner-in-crime Loretta all orbit around the same impossible dream.
